Performr ("we", "us") is a soccer training app that builds weekly training plans from your position, your goals, and — if you connect one — your wearable's recovery data. This page explains what we collect, why, and how you can control it.
Information we collect
- Account info: the name and email you sign up with, and a hashed password (we never store your password in plain text).
- Profile info: your position, training goal, match and team schedule, available training days, session time, experience, equipment access, optional date of birth, height, weight, body fat and any injury notes you enter.
- Wearable data (optional): if you connect WHOOP, we access recovery score, heart-rate variability, resting heart rate, sleep, day strain, and workout data through WHOOP's API, using the access you explicitly grant via WHOOP's OAuth login. We never see your WHOOP password.
- Daily check-ins: your self-reported sleep quality, energy, soreness and optional previous-session effort.
- Fitness tests: the results and dates of physical tests you log (sprint, jump, agility, beep test).
- Usage data: the training sessions you mark complete, and the weekly stat cards you generate.
- Social data: your public username and who you follow, if you use the friends feature.
How we use it
We use your data only to run the app:
- Generating and adjusting your weekly training plan based on your position, goal, and recovery trend.
- Showing you and the friends you follow each other's weekly progress.
- Creating the shareable stat card when you choose to generate one.
We do not sell your data, and we do not use your wearable data for advertising.
Sharing
We don't share your personal data with third parties, except the wearable provider (WHOOP) you connect to, strictly to retrieve your own data back from their API, and service providers that host our infrastructure (e.g. our database host), under standard confidentiality terms.
A generated stat card is only visible to people who have its link. A follower can see your display name, username, position, weekly session-completion counts and a readiness indicator. Individual check-in answers are not shown to followers.
Your controls
- You can revoke wearable access from your WHOOP account settings. An in-app disconnect control is not yet available.
- You can delete your account and all associated data by emailing us (below).
- Revoking Performr's access from your WHOOP account settings also stops all data sharing on WHOOP's side.
Data retention & security
We keep your data for as long as your account is active. Passwords are hashed with scrypt; wearable access tokens are stored server-side and are never exposed to the browser. This is an early-stage prototype — treat it accordingly and avoid entering data you wouldn't want stored by a small, evolving service.
Changes
We may update this policy as the app evolves. Material changes will be reflected on this page with a new "last updated" date.
